I grew up in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood in Newark, N.J. during the depression. My dad was a self-employed cab driver who owned the most conspicuous taxi in the New York metropolitan area—a 1933 Pierce Arrow luxury limousine he’d bought at a real estate auction. After graduation from Rutgers University, I served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, and then worked in journalism and public relations. Since my retirement, I’ve published ten books—four comic mysteries, three international thrillers, a historical novel, a non-fiction business book, and a family history memoir.
